Men have worked the land and grown vines here for centuries, continuing their cultivation through the ages right up to the present day. The Chateau stands in the midst of the vines and keeps a watchful eye over the whole vineyard, which is situated at the edge of the plateau.
The oldest buildings date from the Renaissance. The Roman-inspired pediment and columns were added in the 19th century in pure neoclassical style and gave the Chateau all of its personality and originality.
